STATE LEGISLATURES, SUPREME COURTS, GOVERNORS’ OFFICES, AND OFFICIAL WEB PAGES LINKS

Instead of a discussion on freedom, this time I am just providing information. The links below are useful to Conservative and Liberal alike.

I have listed the 50 Commonwealths and States plus Washington, DC in alphabetical order. I will be calling all of these entities “States” in this article. Under each of these entities, you will find several links.

Since most states have one main link for both the House and Senate of their legislature, no matter what the names of that legislature or either of its branches may be, the first link generally works to connect you with both branches. Any exceptions to would have more than one link under that state.

Since most states have developed one link for a unified judicial court system, you will generally find only one link for that. My main interest was in the Supreme Courts of these States, no matter what any given State calls that Court. These are generally easy to find in the banner, a pull-down menu, etc. If it was not easy to find a particular State’s Supreme Court, I provided an additional link to that.

I have provided a link to the office of each State’s Governor.

The last link is for the official web page for that State. The State links right before it are generally findable on the official web page.

If you are considering moving to a Conservative or to a Liberal State because you do not fit in where you are now, the official state webpages will give you a sort of feel for the philosophies of the different State Governments and their citizens. Are they concerned with social agendas? How do they view recreation, hunting, and personal protection? What do they spend their taxes on? Are they business-friendly? What is the job situation there? Are they doing a good job of protecting the environment? You can interpolate lot about these concerns from looking at the various States’ official web pages. You can often even use these web pages as starting points for planning a vacation in given State. That’s a good way to check out if you really want to move there.

Although I did not double-check them, all of the links should be accurate as of 2-17-13.

The information provided for Washington, DC is a special case. But you knew that already.

On the Kentucky page, I found the following link:

It links to the webpages of all the other State’s legislatures. I only checked a few of them out, but I found that my searches sometimes loaded quicker via my browser that by using that link. There are some other very good links on the Kentucky page. It is well worth checking out. This Pennsyltuckian salutes our sister State for providing this information.
