Sad Revelation: FOX NEWS May Not Be So “Fair & Balanced” As They’d Like To Claim!

I’m going to say something which may strike a defensive chord in some of you, but FOX NEWS has really gone downhill over these past 4 years! When I tuned in to watch, FOX And Friends Sunday, earlier this morning, that assertion was reinforced as the very first story I saw reported on was about Britney Spears recent $100 million dollar deal with ‘Sin City’. As if I really give a Rats furry ass! I could only sit there in my chair, chin resting on my hand, staring at my flat screen, mildly shaking my head in muted chagrin as the next highlighted feature story was about developing good sleeping habits in babies. This has been an ongoing trend for awhile now I’ve observed and has begun to give me pause to consider the nature of claims I’ve read about in regards to an alleged covert campaign aimed towards the mass disinformation in our media directed at the American people. A lot of the frivolous crap I see reported on FOX anymore these days can give claims such as that a solid basis in credibility.

My opinion of this media giant began its descent well over a year ago, after the liberal media began its assault on Herman Cain with its opening salvo at the onset of his declaring to seek the Republican nomination for President of the United States, initially trotting out their conveniently ‘unidentified witness’, along with her conveniently timed accusations of sexual impropriety against Mr. Cain! After the stage was set, the liberal media opened their spigot to bring out even more ‘unidentified witnesses’ with their own accusations of sexual impropriety as well (one later, after finally having come out with her identity, was revealed to have connections with Obama traced through his Senior Advisor, David Axelrod). It was shameless and blatant in its obvious motives, but what really pissed me off was in the first couple of days following the onset of this vicious effort towards assassinating Mr.Cain’s character, GOP Establishment talking heads and frequent contributors on FOX NEWS joined in the chorus of condemnation and repudiation against Mr.Cain as well… When there still had been NO identification of this first mysterious accuser established at the time or ANY verifiable evidence presented by which to substantiate her accusations! Of these GOP Establishment pundits aiding in their advancing the liberal medias agenda, and whom frequently grace FOX NEWS, the most notorious was Karl Rove (I detest this man)! Followed up then by Dana Perino, using and abusing her co-host status on her weekly FOX NEWS program, The Five, to engage in bashing Mr. Cain as well.

That was the beginning of the end, as I began to see for myself that perhaps FOX NEWS wasn’t quite as “fair and balanced” as they’d like to claim they are. Another popular commentator on FOX, who really seemed to undergo a startling transformation as the politically gangrenous influence of Obama began its spread across our Nation, was Bill O’Reilly. Yes, I’ve since heard the reported rumors over recent months of alleged threats by unknown sources connected to Obama, levied against O’Reilly and his family to coerce his silence, but irrespective of that, my once high regard and respect for O’Reilly had deteriorated exponentially long before these rumors surfaced, as he has seemed to do nothing but acquiesce and willfully participate in the bizarre cult pandering and appeasement of this Chicago thug. O’Reilly’s stated testimonial every week night on his program avowing that, “The Spin Stops Here!”, has since come to resonate a bit hollow for me! Not that he is completely lacking in credibility or no longer serves a useful function to his audience, but my belief in O’Reilly has been called into question by this succession of circumstances and I find it wanting.

But those things aside, it has since become apparent that FOX NEWS (in its own way) does its part to promote and encourage this saturating influence of sensationalized and selective “pop culture” news reporting, and, by extension, are enablers of this dysfunctional politically correct dementia that has seized our Country in its strangle hold. That said however, they are not without certain redeeming qualities which still definitely manage to set them apart from the subversive lunatics at MSNBC, NBC, CBS, and other predominately ‘pro-Obama’, liberal left wing mainstream news organizations. Of any televised news network, I’ll always refer to FOX. NBC News, CBS News, or ABC News I wont even waste my time on and I don’t have programmed into my customized profile on my satellite receiver MSNBC, CNN, or any of these other Obama regime media propagandist Agents.

As I’d stated in a previous commentary, my primary sources of news come from a variety of online choices such as The Drudge Report, wnd.com, The Blaze, michaelsavage.com, and The Heritage Foundation just to name a select few. Speaking for myself and with everything else that seems to be systematically going to Hell in this Country courtesy of Obama’s regime and his legion of flying ass monkeys, I’m just disappointed to see FOX becoming like this when I think of how much esteem and favor I use to have for this network.

  1. Mike says:

    doesn’t seem anybody wants to respond to this Post..Wonder why..Maybe we don’t agree..Or do we ? I don’t.

    • Chad Miller says:

I’m not asking for agreement, Mike. Just expressing my personal point of view. You’d be surprised tho’ how many out there have become disappointed in FOX.

      • Agree with you Chad….I’ve been hearing similar from others for quite awhile. Yes, something or someone certainly seems to have put the kabash on O’Reilly …..it’s like he plays good cop,bad cop…..he won’t say the detrimental things about Obama himself. but he books guests who WILL…and then he kinda poo-poo’s what they say but meanwhile he knows his audience just heard the truth or what he’s afraid to say himself. It seems pretty transparent to me.

    • Mary says:

I think Chad is talking out of his “BUTT” I sat on mine …I don’t agree with him at “ALL” …He should stay off of Fox and watch Mr.ED on MSNBC that should be right up his ally :-((( Mike have you heard about this:
In other words if you are a” DUMBASS & LAZY” You are going to Have it Made in THE TURDS World …THE KING has come up with a way to Help the school dropouts, lazy and just plain dumbasses …I find some of this SH!L he comes up with “CRAZY” …Its call ” NO ABILITIES ACT” for the most unremarkable employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability (POI) into middle-management positions, and give a tax credit to small and medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires…. …It hard to believe we have someone Running “OUR” Country that thinks like this …Why this way you would be the “STUPID” One to Go to College so you can get a Good Job and make somrthing out of your self…NO NEED TO PAY ALL THAT MONEY TO GO TO COLLEGE JUST ACT LIKE ONE OF THE “THREE STOOGES” …The Dumber You Are the Futher You Will Go in THE KINGS WORLD AND YOU JUST MIGHT GET TO BE THE “PRESIDENT” IF WE EVER GET THAT OTHER “JACKASS” OUT !!!

  2. Stephanie says:

In order to connect with the low information voter WE MUST GIVE THEM STUFF THAT INTERESTS THEM AND GET THEM HOOKED ON THE TRUTH. IT HAS TO START SOMEWHERE. THIS IS WHY WE LOST THE ELECTION BECAUSE THE LOW INFO VIEWERS WERENT WATCHING FOX.

    • That is sooooooooooooooooooooooo “TRUE” Stephanie…I have said the same thing…Most of the low info viewers don’t know most of whats been happening and the lies he tells …I wish the weak minded (This is what THE KING call them on a site) Democ(RATS) would wake up to his lies for if his mouth is moving he is lying along with the others that hangs with him…you can not get a Democ(RATS) to watch Fox News for they are afraid they might hear something they don’t want to know about their “KING”…

    • Darrell says:

Agree completely and a H-U-G-E problem – how do you get democ-rats to watch at least more truthful news than the pablum they get from the MSM? Answer: the same way liberals would get conservatives to watch their MSM – in other words, I don’t know. I will not watch ANYTHING that bo has to say – he is a pathological liar every single time he opens his mouth and I can’t stand to hear his lying, treasonous, anti-American voice. I’ll catch the long and the short of his BS on Fox (but not on o’reilly). Nor will I waste my time watching the spin and out-and-out lies on the MSM. As I commented further below, I really do like Lou Dobbs on the FBN channel – he’s good IMHO and I recommend.

  3. Connie Enbey says:

    I agree with you Chad

  4. patrick onesty says:

It is a Sunday Morning show, Get a grip. Watch it now and the stories are much more prevalent and not geared at entertainment or human interest stories.

    • Chad Miller says:

I see it all the time throughout their various news programs. Sandy Hook wasn’t even 3 days old when they’d already gratuitously posted the 911 calls to the local police dispatch on their website. As if we needed any more proof of how horrific this crime was. Open your eyes!

      • You’re sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door.

Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers.

At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way.

With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun.

You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it…

In the darkness, you make out two shadows.

One holds something that looks like a crowbar.

When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire.

The blast knocks both thugs to the floor.

One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door

        and lurches outside.

As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you’re in trouble.

In your country, most guns were outlawed years before,

and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless..

        Yours was never registered.

        Police arrive and inform you

that the second burglar has died.

They arrest you for First Degree Murder

and Illegal Possession of a Firearm.

When you talk to your attorney, he tells you not to worry:

authorities will probably plea the case down to manslaughter.

“What kind of sentence will I get?” you ask.

        “Only ten-to-twelve years,”

he replies, as if that’s nothing.

“Behave yourself, and you’ll be out in seven.”

The next day, the shooting is the lead

        story in the local newspaper.

Somehow, you’re portrayed as an eccentric vigilante while the two men you shot are represented as choirboys.

Their friends and relatives can’t find an unkind word to say about them..

Buried deep down in the article, authorities acknowledge that both “victims” have been arrested numerous times.

But the next day’s headline says it all:

“Lovable Rogue Son Didn’t Deserve to Die.”

The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters..

As the days wear on, the story takes wings.

The national media picks it up,

        then the international media.

The surviving burglar has become a folk hero.

Your attorney says the thief is preparing to sue you, and he’ll probably win.

The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and

that you’ve been critical of local police for their lack

of effort in apprehending the suspects.

After the last break-in, you told your neighbor that you would be prepared next time.

The District Attorney uses this to allege

that you were lying in wait for the burglars.

A few months later, you go to trial.

        The charges haven’t been reduced,

as your lawyer had so confidently predicted.

When you take the stand, your anger at

the injustice of it all works against you..

Prosecutors paint a picture of you

        as a mean, vengeful man.

It doesn’t take long for the jury to convict you of all charges.

The judge sentences you to life in prison.

        This case really happened.

On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth, Norfolk , England , killed one burglar and wounded a second.

In April, 2000, he was convicted and is now serving a life term..

How did it become a crime to defend one’s own life in the once great British Empire ?

It started with the Pistols Act of 1903.

This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and

established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license.

The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns..

Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and

mandated the registration of all shotguns.

Momentum for total handgun confiscation began in earnest after the Hungerford mass shooting in 1987.

Michael Ryan, a mentally disturbed man with a Kalashnikov rifle, walked down the street shooting everyone he saw.
When the smoke cleared, 17 people were dead.

The British public, already de-sensitized by eighty years of “gun control”, demanded even tougher restrictions.

(The seizure of all privately owned handguns was the objective even though Ryan used a rifle.)

Nine years later, at Dunblane , Scotland ,

ThomasHamilton used a semi-automatic weapon to murder 16 children and a teacher at a public school.

For many years, the media had portrayed all gun owners as mentally unstable, or worse, criminals.

Now the press had a real kook with which to beat up law-abiding gun owners.

Day after day, week after week, the media gave up all pretense of objectivity and demanded a total ban on all handguns.

The Dunblane Inquiry, a few months later, sealed the fate of the few side arm’s

        still owned by private citizens.

During the years in which the British government incrementally took away most gun rights,

the notion that a citizen had the right to armed self-defense came to be seen as vigilantism.

Authorities refused to grant gun licenses to people who were threatened,

claiming that self-defense was no longer considered a reason to own a gun.

Citizens who shot burglars or robbers or rapists were charged while the real criminals were released.

Indeed, after the Martin shooting, a police spokesman was quoted as saying,

“We cannot have people take the law into their own hands.”

All of Tony Martin’s neighbors had been robbed numerous times,
and several elderly people were severely injured in beatings by young thugs
who had no fear of the consequences.
Martin himself, a collector of antiques,
had seen most of his collection
        trashed or stolen by burglars.

        When the Dunblane Inquiry ended,
        citizens who owned handguns
were given three months to turn them over to local authorities.

        Being good British subjects,
        most people obeyed the law.
The few who didn’t were visited by police
and threatened with ten-year prison sentences if they didn’t comply.

Police later bragged that they’d taken
nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens.

How did the authorities know who had handguns?
The guns had been registered and licensed.
Kind of like cars. Sound familiar?

an excellent piece, but not quite sure how it connects with the topic – from what I’ve seen on Fox, they’ve been steady in their support of the 2nd amendment. Fair and balanced or not, I believe its the right side to be on as relates to the protection against bo’s attacks against our constitutional rights.

          I would add just this:
“When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” . . . Thomas Jefferson, Papers of (Digital Edition)

  5. Chad I agree with you 100% my friend. Ive seen this coming on slowly with Fox for awhile now. It turns my stomach. Like you it seems i can only trust certain internet sites and thats it. People need to open there eyes and ears, they are not paying attention! Since this current administration started, things seem to be moving pretty fast as fr as taking away our rights and freedoms. God bless and thanks for what your doing.

  7. Carlos Helms says:

    Well said, Mr Miller.

FOX has joined the dumb-down movement because monster advertising dollars and profit-margins outweigh their responsibility to speak for all of us who see the blatant hypocrisy of the Ministry of Propaganda buffoons.

I’ve always seen O’Reilly as an arrogant, condescending cheap-suit with a vocabulary. He’s a good-ol’-boy. O’Reilly is the foremost reason I’ve withheld any “affection” for FOX. If I’m forced to watch cartoons, I’ll pick FOX; but like you, if I have a choice, I’ll look elsewhere.

    • Guess thats why more people watch Fox News then any other …O’Reilly is the Number one of all news station that is watch…FOX NEWS WINS OVER ALL NEWS STATION …WONDER WHY ??? …ones that don’t like Fox News should stick to Mr.ED on MSNBC…YOU JUST CAN”T STAND THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR “KING” …you can Smell a Democ(RAT) a mile off when they open there mouth …At least you all give me a GOOD laugh lol

      • Carlos Helms says:

Ms Jordan-Briscoe: you’ve got me pegged all wrong. FOX isn’t conservative enough for my liking. Why would I tune in to a liberal cartoon station like MSNBC? Being #1 in the USA in 2013 isn’t saying much. It’s not news…it’s the best of bad entertainment. I stand by my assessment of O’Reilly. I credit him, however, for being a good capitalist: he knows his audience and makes bank on them. Other than that, he’s self-righteous and exceptionally rude…and, apparently, that’s what semi-literate trailer-trash Americans enjoy as a “news source.”

        • So you think of your self as “semi-literate trailer-trash American”…I could not have come up with a better name for you …Thanks for helping me come up with a name for you…PS Is that all you got to do just set around watching “CARTOONS” …Soooooooooooo you are one of them things laying around in your trailer getting the free crap THE KING is handing out …Shame, Shame on you …you need to get a job and pay your fair share !!!

          • Carlos Helms says:

LOL…did you even read what I wrote?

…Or are you just THAT predisposed to comment that you think you can ignore what you’re commenting on?

No, Jordan-Briscoe. I don’t like FOX because they’re NOT CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH. Rupert Murdoch is a LIBERAL in my book. O’Reilly is a LIBERAL in my book. It is quite likely that YOU are a LIBERAL in my book. I am the most politically-conservative person I know.

But, for some reason, you haven’t picked-up on what I’ve written. FOX is “in it” for the big bucks, period. Trendy conservativism, sunshine patriots, are a dime-a-dozen. Chattering on and on about how well-armed they are – as if spending ten-grand on weaponry and ammunition makes them a patriot. What I expect is that FOX News “patriots” will cave at the first sign of trouble…as will 9 out of 10 Facebook “citizens” and rabidly vociferous bloggers and their followers.

Then again…there are the Ten Percent.

  8. Sadly, I must agree with you Mr. Miller…it seems as though we have no one to depend on but ourselves…I have noticed the change in Fox and Bill O’Reilly in particular…I just do my own investigations…I can trust me…

  9. Pat Smythe says:

Fair and balanced? LOL! Ridiculous agitprop theater of the absurd since its inception. Try marginalizing yourselves further. In no way does fox or your blogs speak for the American people. Now go ahead and delete this message because it challenges your narrow jingoistic opinions. That’s all they are, opinions, not truths…

    • Chad Miller says:

I believe in freedom of speech, Pat. Even that of the willfully ignorant who only bring a deficit of intelligence to the conversation such as yourself.

    • Carlos Helms says:

      Wow…touchy, Pat!

And who do you (Pat) think “speaks for the American people”? Chris Matthews?

I figured you guys were in agreement – except for the timing of whether FOX ever spoke for the American people…or whether FOX has degenerated over time.

  10. It is about ratings and advertising dollars. Networks get going by being different from all the others, reach a certain market share, have more money coming in, then hire people fresh out of college or from other networks. These people convince everyone that they need to dummy down to increase their market share, become more mainstream to attract particular advertisers. Expect to see Dancing with the Pundits or a reality show about the Obamas in the future.

I find way more out about what is happening in the world via BBC America.

  11. I must agree! I have been thinking these exact things for some time now. I no longer watch FOX. Something started to change with Bill O’Reilly a few years ago, soon after the 2008 election. His show used to be my favorite….I can no longer stand to watch. I too, get my information from the various places you mentioned.

  12. Karen says:

The only person on FOX I listen to and believe in is Judge Napolitano…he never wavers from his stance…I have great respect for the man.

  13. Judge Napolitano speaks facts others not so much, agree with your assert
    ions!!

  14. Mountainaires says:

what is wrong with you people? Chad is so right! Fox News has degenerate into frivolous crap over the past few years! I cannot even bear to watch Fox and friends anymore!

  15. Chuck Orange says:

On January 19th, Demonstrate against gun Control, and obama. Demonstrate for Secession in your state. BURN korans to get the party started. This will get the news out and the riot started properly. Take your guns and your big dogs as well. This will embarrass obama properly.

  16. Darrell says:

I stopped watching o’reilly some time last year – his tirades on gun control demonstrated at the time far less knowledge than even I had, and his rants against the big oil companies made absolutely no sense in spite of good solid arguments from guests on his show to the contrary. He is a very stubborn guy who at times gets things in his head and doesn’t want to be confused with the facts. I do still like Lou Dobbs on FBN. He is relatively low key and seems pretty fact-based in what he presents. I also DVR Greta and Cavuto daily in case there’s nothing else on, but usually end up deleting them. As far as the Fox morning shows, I consider them as a combination variety/news show, and as such expect some fluff mixed in with real news and will watch them only while eating breakfast (unless I have something DVR’d that’s more interesting to watch during that time).

  17. E. Long says:

There are no credible news sources in the MSM. Do you really trust Rupert ? He is part of our overall problem. Talking heads will follow whatever the teleprompter suggests. TV is a propaganda tool. All that I want are the facts, then I will come to my own conclusions. The only difference between Fox and MSNBC is the slant they take. They are all pandering assholes.

  18. wane says:

It is certainlt true that Fox is much more softball than ever. Ever since George Soros’ media minions intimidated or blackmailed Murdock into getting rid of Glen beck and agreeing that Obama’s birthplace is off limits for discussion…Fox has become like a Rino Republicas…just there to make it look like the left has mainstream opposition.
