I was looking for reliable statistics on what are the most dangerous cities in the U.S., but the FBI says there are no reliable statistics that you can use to compare any of our cities. So I sort of gave up. I had an idea for a great article, nothing in it that you did not already know, unless you are a Liberal Agendanista blinded by your own self-importance. I wanted to give you the right ammunition for backing up your arguments, the straight dope from the FBI itself.

But there is nothing there.

The FBI’s Preliminary Semiannual Uniform Crime Report, January-June, 2011, provides a lot of crime statistics in spread sheets. This is the document that all of the Liberal media use to come up with their various “Deadliest Cities in the U.S.” stories. Ever wonder why there are different cities on the lists in the different publications?

The cover page to this report says:

Figures used in this Report were submitted voluntarily by law enforcement agencies throughout the country. Individuals using these tabulations are cautioned against drawing conclusions by making direct comparisons between cities. Comparisons lead to simplistic and/or incomplete analyses that often create misleading perceptions adversely affecting communities and their residents. Valid assessments are possible only with careful study and analysis of the range of unique conditions affecting each local law enforcement jurisdiction. It is important to remember that crime is a social problem and, therefore, a concern of the entire community. The efforts of law enforcement are limited to factors within its control. The data user is, therefore, cautioned against comparing statistical data of individual agencies. Further information on this topic can be obtained in the annual UCR report Crime in the United States, 2010.

Data users can obtain assistance by sending e-mails to

Report issued by Robert S. Mueller III, Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Department of Justice, Washington, D.C. 20535”.

Only an idiot would use these spreadsheets in trying to compare the crime statistics for different cities. The various law enforcement agencies present data to us that is at best incomplete and inconsistent, and at worst is totally unusable. There is too much variety in the means of reporting, and in exactly what is included or excluded by these agencies. These reports are submitted by the various law enforcement agencies VOLUNTARILY, so of course they will be hiding things, and generally will be bullshitting us. If you are thinking of trying to compile a most dangerous cities list, and do not have a Ph.D. in comparative statistics, don’t even bother.

Which leaves most of you B.A. in Liberal Arts reporters and feature writers way outside of the ball park.

Thank you, Bob Muller, and the rest of the agents involved in preparing this report. I am sure you stuck your necks out in writing that little disclaimer, and sticking it right up front and center on the cover page for anyone with half a brain to see. Whatever our disagreements (if there are any) on anything else are, I am glad to see that you still value the presentation of the truth. Even if you have to hide it on the front page.

It is reassuring to think that there may still be a few Patriots left at the top. People who understand the dangers inherent in following the lead of the current “progressive” leaders. People who see the danger to the U.S. that is presented by the now social reconstructionist federal government. A government that seems bent on becoming ever more powerful. A government that now disregards the value and validity of its very own citizens. A government that now claims that it can hold you indefinitely without charge, or without a trial. A government that now claims that it can kill you without having to provide any sort of concrete justification for doing so. A government that seems to believe that fomenting a domestic revolution in the U.S. is the most logical means to achieve its greater, darker end.

A government that no longer makes it a secret that, for them, the end justifies the means, even unto the final measure.

About responsible2all

I am a working stiff who finds it hard to get all the bills paid sometimes. I am basically happy with my far-from-boring, crazy, albeit fulfilled life. But I have watched the earth and the people upon it for a very long time now. And I know that the Freedoms of the Upper Man, whose last stronghold on earth is the United States of America, are under constant attack by the Scarlet Babylonian Antichrist, and by the Beast upon who She rides. So now, after all of these years of obscurity behind the Green Hedge, beneath the Veil of the Chuppah, above the Smoky Glass Ceiling, it is time to speak of the things which I have always Known, and have seen and heard, and have been taught on that Fateful Day, by John Daniel.

There are reasons that the FBI will not publish “reliable” information status on gun violence. The first and I feel the most important is, the agenda of the administration would be hurt by it. Chicago is blatant, but when you compare the rest of the cities in the whole of America, the big pic is different than they would have you believe.
Consider the dreaded “assault rifle”, most gun violence is not committed with a rifle, let alone an assault rifle. Most are committed with a handgun usually a cheap 9mm bought on the street or stolen.
This is the fact not just a guess. Try holding up a gas station with a concealed AR15 , it’s kind of hard to put that under your jacket, or run with it in your pants.

  2. Citizen Patriot says:

Fascinating, what the FBI is stating is, “Here is the raw data for you to manipulate. Take and twist to support whatever agenda you desire to push.” Come to think of it, this last quote is a relatively accurate definition of “Statistics.” Statistics is the art of using raw data and twistint it to support a specific argument. Remember the old saying, “Figures don’t lie, but liars can sure figure.” And with the current regime along with its complicit MSM are well versed in the art of propaganda. The most convincing propaganda is an artful mixture of facts, half-truths, and lies. Hope you are able to extrapolate fact from fiction.

  3. That is exactly why comparing crime rates in other countries to ours is not valid. All countries are different – laws, economy, history, culture, system of government, poverty, education, justice system. Believing that because a law works in another country, it will work in ours, is not based on evidence. I love the FBI Uniform Crime Report, I only use it for national statistics.

  4. Wes Taylor says:

The point most everyone misses here, is that this administration is not concerned with truthful statistics of any sort. Their agenda of changing the constitution, in every respect, will not be swayed by fact. They are intent on disarming and controlling the people, and no amount of truthful comparisons will deter them. This is the most blantantly corrupt, manipulating, aadministration in the history of the free world. And it was voted in!!!!

    • I believe you are correct. I try to get the facts out there for the people who believe what the politicians say. My hope is to bring some people over to this side when they realize the admin’s not been telling them the truth. Probably a pie-in-the-sky hope, but I feel like I am doing something to help.

  5. The FBI is as good as telling us that the report is all crap. They have their jobs to do. At least they admitted it right on the front page. There is no logical reason for having done that, your job is on the line. Unless you do not agree with the report itself, and all the conclusions everyone draws from it, and want to warn us about what is going on.

If you like statistics, check out my public album of photos of FBI statistical crime charts on my Facebook page. I am Gary Harper. Look for the guy at the picnic table in the woods with the four paintings when you search my name. And the wall photo of the aluminum hats from Signs.
