Wake Up America: Bat Population Poisoned by Government?

Conspiracy theorists have a place in our society but we must learn to use common sense. I wasted about 8 hours last night and today chasing stories that were easily debunked by facts. As a blogger I want you to understand my thinking. I want very badly today to generate 20,000 hits to my blog. I guess it’s my ego. I want to feel important. I want to feel like I contribute. But I also have something called a conscience. Sometimes that conscience fails me, but it’s there.

Last night I watched Jesse Ventura’s “Conspiracy Theory” episode about the alleged pensmoremovement of the Illuminati into my back yard. I live about an hour from the Pensmore Mansion which is being constructed in Highlandville, MO. I am not willing to totally discount this theory, but let me tell you what I found. One of the biggest premises of the show was the presence of 24+ banks moving into a township of 2400 people in Mountain View, AR. The contingency is that a town of 2400 should not need so many banks. That is 1 bank for every 100 people. Wow! What’s going on here?

Why would so many banks be needed for a town so small? Could it be a doomsday preparation? Could it be that extreme wealth was moving into the area and such a small population could, in fact, support this many banks? Numbers were thrown around and they stated, at one point, that it was one bank for every 50ish people. The numbers quoted were between 24 and 32 banks in this town. Amazing! I wasn’t following the math but I was thoroughly entertained.

I spent some time chasing the conspiracy and found that most people commenting, in various forums, were people who had watched the episode and not the people from Mountain View Arkansas. So eventually I ended up where I should have started. I did a google search for “banks in mountain view arkansas.” That’s exactly how I typed it, without caps. Low and behold the first result I see is a directory listing that shows 24 results. What in the world? Ventura is right!

But what happened when I clicked on the link? 24 listings are there but only 7 are actually listings for Mt. View, AR.  The other 17 listings are for Yellville and “Mountain Home” Arkansas…not “Mountain View” Arkansas. Splendid! Is this the extent of the research of Jesse Ventura’s staff? They see one search result and don’t even bother to click on it? The population of Mountain View was actually 2793 by the last census numbers, so we are looking at 1 bank for about every 400 people. That is a stark contrast to 1 bank for every 50ish people. I never could figure out how they were getting that number to start with. You could still probably contend that this is a lot, so why twist the facts? In case you are interested, this was the first search result that came up on Google.

I am not going to go on with this but I will tell you that I was able to refute about half of what I saw on that show last night. I don’t care about unseen conspiracies nearly as much as I care about things that are happening right before our very eyes, like:

  • The drone story that is in the news. drone
  • Obvious political connections between Barack Obama and known communist party members.
  • The obvious weakening of our military while we send “gifts” to strengthen foreign defenses.
  • Numerous executive orders and bills that have been passed and signed to lay groundwork for possible Martial Law conditions.
  • Etc.

I think I have some insight into the pressures that conspiracy theorists may face because of my own blog. They want viewers. They want readers. Their income depends on continually harvesting new and exciting conspiracies to keep their fans interested.

So what if there isn’t a story available? Well there is a very human tendency to want to see something that is not there, or to create a story where there is none. You want to believe in it so badly that you see things that others do not, and if your following is large enough you become responsible for spreading disinformation. It’s a shame but it’s true. I’ve printed things that I wanted to take back on more than one occasion. All I can do is move forward and try to learn from my mistakes. Ultimately we all must decide if we are going to be part of the problem or part of the solution.

Here is how I feel about people like Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones. I feel that they are valuable in this fight, but I feel like too many people hang on their every word. I feel that a large percentage of what they uncover proves to be truth. But I am sickened by the things that end up being pure hype.

I think we need to realize that the proof of an enemy being in the White House is already there, and our own disinformation is just as harmful as the disinformation from the left. Why?

  1. It makes us look bad when we are proven wrong (credibility), and
  2. It distracts us from the important fights.

No one can deny that many from our Executive and Legislative Branch are trying to destroy our constitution. So why do we focus on things that are not important? Well quite simply it sells. It sells just like sex and other smut.

There are reasons that these big stories keep churning out and reasons the people telling them are making obscene amounts of money. They realize that the sheeple aresheeple on both sides of the fence and if I am to be honest with myself, there are many times I am one of them.

You don’t get sucked into a false story for hours on end without rightfully calling yourself a sheeple. I may eventually come to the truth but that doesn’t mean that I don’t spend some time obsessing, and if I spread the stuff I become part of the problem.

I got to the point last night where I was coming up with my own conspiracies. I was looking at bats and this mysterious “White Nose Syndrome” that is killing millions and closing caves all over the US and Canada.  I traced the disease back to its origins in New York, and what else is in New York? Plum Island Animal Disease Center.

Plum Island is a known failed target of Al Queda and has been taken over by the Department of Homeland security.

wnsSee how this starts to happen? Our minds start flowing in directions that are totally off topic. We know about other conspiracies involving DHS so this must be true. So the next question that came to mind was…why would the government want to kill bats?

Obviously they want to kill bats to close the caves from the public. Why would they want to close caves from the public?

They want to close caves from the public because Martial Law is coming and they want to limit our defenses. Closing caves all over the country gives us less places to hide. It also allows for the further construction of secret government bunkers and underground cities that are believed to be contributing to record amounts of earthquakes in our heartland. I could make a case for this if I wanted. The problem is that I have no real proof and until I get that proof it would be nothing more than a crazy conspiracy theorist spouting off his ideas. Don’t get me wrong… I am not totally convinced that my theory doesn’t have some truth, but…

I have to shake my head and remind myself that I’m just like Jesse and Alex sometimes.

A story about the government killing bats and closing caves in preparation for declaration of Martial Law would have probably given me my 20,000 hits today. I have been doing this long enough that I realize that. There may have even been some tiny shreds of truth to it. That’s not the point.

The Weekly World News released a story about Obama’s coming impeachment in wwnMarch of 2013. For some reason people thought this was a credible source and started passing it around. Blogs started reprinting their own versions of the story.  It was viral. Being viral doesn’t make it true.

The point is that we already have all the information we need and it is important not to get distracted now, as a few people reminded me last night. Thank You for that, by the way.

We have an enemy in the White House who grew up hating the United States and everything it stood for. He is a known socialist who is connected to a wide variety of known communists all over the country. We know the danger of communism. We have to take this threat seriously.

We have a Republican party who is now left of center and no one is representing Conservative Patriots in this country. They say what we want to hear and then let us down when it comes time to vote.

We have ever expanding powers of the government in this country and these are dangerous times. We don’t need to manufacture more evidence when we already have enough. We must push forward with things that are most important, and what is the most important thing of all?

We must continue to focus on the 2nd amendment. If it falls we have nothing. If the people lose their power of enforcement then there is nothing stopping your government from taking all of your rights away.

As for the story about the government poisoning the bats? I think I will let Jesse, Alex, and WWN run with that. You have a source to quote now, so it must be true.

I just got off the phone with my source from Westboro Baptist and they told me clearly that this is happening because, “God hates fags and fag enablers.” Could it be that the disease is only spread by homosexual bats? Oh my, focus Dean…

We must remain focused and vigilant. Our government has full powers of a communistic state now and they have done this without hiding it. In the event of a national security emergency they have the power to declare martial law. They have the powers to disable our communications and shut down electricity and water supplies. They have the power to launch drone attacks on US Citizens on American soil. They have the power to detain American citizens without probable cause. The only question remaining is…will they use these powers?

We must not back down. We must keep sending the message that we are armed and we will not allow ourselves to be disarmed. We are united, we are focused and we are strong.

If the bat theory ever makes it to one of the popular outlets, it will undoubtedly go viral. But we have to ask ourselves a serious question… Which message is more deserving to go viral? This message? Or another unfounded conspiracy theory? I like being entertained as much as anyone, but think about it. You know the answer.

  1. Dean, what a blissful breath of fresh air! It truly is so important to keep our eyes on the ball and not get distracted from the long view. Chasing conspiracy theories may be fun for some, but I find that it distracts and detracts from dealing with actual immediate threats that should be dealt with, not to mention reduces effective education of “low information” folks just waking up. Credibility is a crucial ingredient in helping fellow Americans make informed decisions, great job of illustrating the why’s. Kudos to you!

    • Juli, I have done it at times. I have articles in the archive that I keep meaning to delete because they were printed before all of the facts came out. But I am human, and I think that the true test of an individual is how they respond to what they learn. Thank you my friend. I hope you keep coming back to share your wisdom with us.

Great post Dean. Let me recommend a book for you…. “Liberal fascism”. I think you’ll enjoy it and it will give some perspective, from history, to today’s events and leaders.

    • Thanks Ed. Not sure I will find the time to read it but I will put it on the list. When Bill Ayers is a keynote speaker for our nation’s educators it is not that tough to figure out what the agenda is here. It’s a sad state of affairs.

  3. marcy harrington says:

Dean, I read The Ulsterman Report earlier and I can’t decide if the story is reality or fiction for his book. I have no way to go the 16th & G (I think that’s the place) the addresses of some pretty powerful places, the continuation of Solyndra under another name Urban Partnership Bank and the rest. How do we determine if this is actually happening like this “WHI” says? I think focusing on the Drones and Fema is good, but if we could get the working lefties to realize that these banks are taking their cash…it might help the cause. Or not.

    • I want you to notice the vast difference between the left and right. If you attack Bush, someone on the right will normally say you are right and try to say that he did not represent us. He lied. If you attack Obama, someone on the left will normally fight you tooth and nail whether they are backed with facts or not. They do not question because they have been “conditioned.” This is my honest belief. I will try to dig for the answers you are seeking. I have a note pad and write these things down, but I don’t know when I will get to it and can’t answer your question intelligently now. What I will say is that I don’t think you can wake most of them up. They are brainwashed and have been for their entire lives in most cases. I am lucky. My family was poor (lower middle class) but somehow Mom and Dad scraped together enough money to send me to a private school. I didn’t suffer the same brainwashing drills that many of my childhood friends did. Every single one of those who went to public schools ended up being liberal. I am not talking about a huge case study, but 5 of my close childhood friends. Without strong family, church, and education in their past, there is nothing you can do to bring them to the light now. Of course I hope I am wrong and that’s why I keep spreading the message, but I doubt we will be able to wake up most extreme lefties. They feel the same about us. If revolution comes I think that will be the wake up call for many of them, but you can’t teach them with facts that they refuse to read. Just my two cents and of course I am not always right. I will look into this deeper when I get a chance. Thanks for your comments today. Keep coming back to visit and if you find your own answers please share them.

Very good information Dean. I too spend enormous amounts of time researching rumors, usually they can never be attributed to nothing more than coincidence and wild imaginations. (oh the strange phone calls? They were just a telemarketing company that gets triggered if you log onto a sight that has a related topic to what they are selling; their automated recording was malfunctioning, that”s why it seemed like nobody was there.) Keep in mind with Jessie Ventura, he got his start as a professional wrestler, so narcissistic hype has been what his whole career has been based on. So although he has interesting theories at times, his ego drives him more than a need for truth. Stay focused because you do provide excellent articles with much needed information. We must stay informed with vital, truthful information and stay united with like minded people, if we ever expect to take this country back from the enemy within and restore it to it’s former Glory. We CANNOT let that enemy use distractions as false enemies to redirect our attention from that goal. Excellent job, stay the course, you are an important link to our goal.-Kim

    • You are absolutely right Kim. I used to watch Jesse “The Body” as a kid. I think that about half of the stuff they show is fact, give or take, but it’s the other half that hurts the cause. I can tell you already that this article won’t go anywhere. I am watching the numbers and it’s off to a very slow start. But these things really shouldn’t matter. If I surrender to that thinking I am just as ego-driven as they are. What is important is that we maintain our freedom and that won’t be accomplished by distraction. You are very wise my friend. I wish there were more like you.

    • Oh and on the telemarketer thing… I am glad you told me that. I don’t doubt that there is a huge conspiracy in the works. But the Illuminati conspiracies are over the top. The bottom line is that if these people are real, and as smart as they seem, then I won’t be able to bring them down with my brain. I was a smart kid in school so I know these things. The kids that were jealous didn’t try to out think me, they simply punched me in the mouth. That’s how it works. If it ends up that these guys are real then we will eventually just have to prove that we are tougher than they are, because I won’t be breaking this story wide open in a few hours armed with only a laptop. I am not that smart. LOL 🙂

Jessi Ventura was a Navy Seal and a police officer before he became a wrestler, then was elected Governor.

  5. Citizen Patriot says:

Forgive me for tossing in my two cents on the subject, I agree with 99% of what you state here. In the final analysis, all that we have is our credibility and the confidence to admit when we may be wrong and attempt to correct. Correcting our “Ready, Fire, Aim” syndrom is as strong a tool that we can use to build and maintain credibility. We are responsible for out words and thoughts we share with others, whether readers, soldiers, or testimony in a court of law.

Regarding your thoughts of conspiracy, there is an old saying, “Just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean that they’re not out to get you.” That said, I would like to add some of my thoughts and raise some questions. It is well and prudent to check the facts available before reporting the many of reports being shared through TV, News Media, and BLOGs. Relying on the credibility of others sometimes bites us in the ass (this is a lesson I learned several times during a 31 year military career and painfully so passing on information sent by personal friends and aquaintenances). With the weight and seriousness of many political events, edicts, and unpopular laws stuffed down out throats today, it is difficult to maintain focus on activities which are relevant to the destruction of our Constitution and American liberties. But remain focused we must. Pass along only facts and not hear-say regardless of the source. I think these are the same points you discuss in your musings here.

Now, if I had a BLOG that gets as much attention as yours, I would select a topic and ride all the way to the scene of the crash. For instance, the recent mass purchases of ammunition and weapons by DHS and other agencies, questions beg to be asked about what types of firearms, what types and calibers of ammunition, what is the break-down of the volume of ammunition and number of firearms to be delivered over the life of the government contract, what is the sequence of training to become weapon-type qualified and who will receive this training, what is the production capabilities of the industries taksed to supply the contracts? Digging to these levels for information offers a much more complete picture of the story and stronger arguments that either support or dispute the soundness of the story. Credibility is everything; one awe shit takes away all previous ‘atta boys.

    • Amen. We try to get to that information whenever possible. We are pretty fair down the food chain so usually we don’t get it until several others do and then comes the problem of figuring out what is fact and what is fiction. There are some really big name sources out there who put out a lot of fiction, not just on the left but on the right as well. So it’s tough to get through it all. I needed to print this simply because I have been spending too much time dealing in theories lately and not enough time with facts. I always try to let people know when it’s just heresay, like my DHS article the other day. One inside source from the DHS proves nothing, but like you said, it does bring about questions that we need to be asking every day. Thank you so much for your comments. They are valid and I hope everyone reads them. Keep fighting the good fight.

    Great Article.
I recieved an E-mail from a relative about US Military drills, practice or whatever in Houston Tx. Full scale with Helicopters and armed troops on a vacant (School?). And then I Googled military exercises in continental United States and found news reports about St. Louis, Maimi F., Baltimore Md and so on. Not a peep in the Lame Stream media only local coverage. What Gives?
I agree with your premise to not spread rumors but how does a story about war exercises being conducted outside of military compounds not warrant SOME coverage?

  7. Kenneth says:

I was raised an Army brat. The old man was stationed in Frankfurt West Germany in the early 70’s. In April 0f 75′ we went on vacation to Berlin East Germany. We as kids could not wait! We left Frankfurt on a train. When we hit the border, the train stopped. In came the Soviet troops, carrying automatic weapons, and asking everyone on board for their papers. Back then schools were institutions of learning, so as a seventh grader I knew what to expect, I mean, they are communist over here. Well this occurred at every single station between the border and Berlin. The infamous Checkpoint Charlie was something to see. A small tower was erected there so you could look over the wall at the Eastern Sector. What a dark sad looking existence. Everywhere you look men with automatic weapons. I thought to myself how glad I was to be an American. So proud. The bicentennial was around the corner and patriotism was not yet a four letter word, it was rampant! We as a nation were proud. Every male member of my family has served in the military, as some serve now. That is just how it should be. Service to God and Country.

Now I live in an America I barely recognise. We have a socialist president. How did this happen? TSA on buses in Houston, and violating our rights at every airport, the military manuevers around the country. Now a full blown attempt at taking our firearms. It was 38 years ago, but I still remember the face of tyranny. I just never dreamed I would be forced to face tyranny.

I watched Jesse Ventura in an interview and he stated Conspiracy Theory was based on SOME fact, they didn’t Necessarily believe everyone that they interviewed and that Conspiracy Theory was “ENTERTAINMENT”……..But some people take these shows as all fact and run with it! It’s like when Hollywood makes a documentary, they spice it up some………It makes money!
