West Virginia Citizen’s Defense League: “…in my opinion, you have been sold out.”

The following was passed to me by a friend who received it from the WVCDL. It may prepare you for what to expect from Obama tomorrow and from his supporters in the coming days and weeks. -Dean

wvcdlLadies and gentlemen of the WVCDL and West Virginia. Today, around 3PM I met with Senator Manchin. In any conversation with a person of that level of power, there are two conversations that occur at once. The first is the obvious and direct meaning of what is spoken. The second conversation is the meaning between the lines. In this case, neither is good. West Virginia, in my opinion, you have been sold out.

First, let’s talk about the direct conversation. It’s very simple. Senator Manchin supports a three-pronged approach that includes universal background checks, including private sales. He supports mental health-care reform. And he supports magazine capacity limits, and possibly other restrictions.

Further, he stated to me directly, that he believes 75% of West Virginians, like him, believe that the only purposes behind gun ownership and the second amendment are hunting and recreational shooting. He told me that defense is not an angle he considers or believes in, and that is specifically in the context of defense of self, and defense from tyranny. Perhaps now you understand why I’ve been too angry to update you on the results of the meeting. In case you’re thinking of stopping here, it gets worse.

Senator Manchin told me what the media will do if Congress (including the US House of Representatives) fails to pass an AWB and/or mag restrictions. “They will one, by one, put up pictures of dead children. They will show the carnage.” Considering that tomorrow, President Obama will be exploiting children by dragging them on stage with him while he outlays his plan, this is not a huge leap. And these are the words of a United States senator. We, and I don’t mean just West Virginians, I mean Americans, must prepare for this. That is a direct quote. Verbatim. We need every talking head in the conservative media out in front of this. Make it happen. Share this post far and wide.

When it became clear that we were not going to find common ground, and that Senator Manchin intends to support magazine capacity limits and other pointless gun-control laws doomed to failure, I told the senator that we would be there. We would be at every single event. We would be at every fund-raiser. We would be there, and the content of our signs would not be pleasant.

And now we get to the second conversation. The one between the lines. When I said we would be there, he said, “there won’t be any events.”

This confused me. No politician runs for office without fund-raisers and events. And I have to admit, it wasn’t I that grasped the meaning of this. I want to be clear, that the following was not stated. This was deduced by a confidant of mine, and I think she is correct. Manchin was honest. There will be no events. Why would a US Senator not need funds? This is because there will be no campaign. Joe Manchin is too young to retire from a position of such power. What does that mean?

West Virginia, this means that Joe Manchin has sold you out. It means that he has accepted some position, likely promised by Barack Obama, to place his boot in your neck in exchange for power.

Now you know. Now you know why for four hours, I was too angry to update you.

Reblogged this on Liebie's Random Ramblings and commented:
Makes you wonder how many more were bought.

    • I can’t believe how arrogant Manchin is to say what he said about the media. I will admit that I used to think that those who shouted about the “mainstream media” were conspiracy theorists. I no longer think that. I have seen too much evidence to the contrary. Thanks for the reblog. It is always appreciated.

It turns out that the conspiracy people may have been on to things much earlier than the rest of us. Who would have thought things would be going the way they are 5 years ago. I like your blog. It’s very informative. Your welcome for reblog, but I don’t have many readers. Mainly just my husband 🙂

Never fails to amaze me at how shady the positions of power have become, yet I know I shouldn’t be. I guess I still cling on to some hope that it’s all just some big misunderstanding. I’ve been in a position of dealing with people of all walks of life, seen and heard some insane views, stances and opinions, seen the abuse of power first hand, yet I still hope that things will change.

The changes are coming, that’s for sure, just not the ones that I was hoping for.

We just all need to Vote people who lie to get in office OUT!!!!!! of office. He has lost my vote and my familys vote, I will tell everyone I talk to about his flip flop. He is just like the rest of the NO good lying leaders we have in DC. Its time we stop hoping things will change and change them ourself. Its time to take our Country back and restore it to its once GREATNESS when it was for the people by the people. I think we should have a repeal Joe Manchin drive to show this guy we mean what we say.

Find out what Manchin is doing every day. Campaigning or not, anywhere he is, raise Cain. Every single day.

Dean, I am a new reader to your BLOG. Even so, I have to tell you that your articles are among the most succinct and clear of any I’ve found. Your honesty to expose the corruption and greed of our elected and appointed officials is exactly the information that needs to be made available to all American citizens. It labels the spade as a shovel, as it should be. There is no racial overtone meant here, I am simply being honest.

I will, also, state that I am a retired Army Officer of 31 years service with combat experience in Vietnam, Panama, Kuwait, and the early stages of Afghanistan – I am a loyal patriot and find it hateful to witness what is happening to our nation. I am weary of the word-games, deceit and lies coming out of Washington, D.C.. I find it intollerable to allow it to continure unchallenged. My comments here are not just reserved in response for the people of West (by God) Virginia. I believe we have all been sold out by our elected officials. I am not a violent person by nature, even though I have visited great and deadly violence on many foreign enemies of our nation. I don’t think that I stand alone in making this statement, there is a brotherhood of warriors most of whom think and say the same. It is very close to visiting great violence and harm to our domestic enemies. Once the crap hits the fan, quick and violent is a saying among fellow warriors of how it will unfold.

The clock is ticking and soon to run out on the entrenched power over-lords who have forsaken their oath of office in favor for power and wealth (it matters not that the cost was their souls, integrity, and humanity). In your recent article regarding our responsibility to engage tyranny with overwhelming violence, I (in my lowly, humble opinion), am fast arriving at a cross-road where one of two options remain for Americans to choose. We can do nothing, or we can stand at the greens of Concord and bridges of Lexington and raise our firearms in anger once again at the corrupt governance now in power. I can only hope that the coming sacrifices to those who chose to lite the fuse of another great struggle for liberty is supported and appreciated by those who lack the courage of their convictions to stand against an intollerable, opressive government. I hope once the trip-wire of events that set this looming rebellion in motion will quickly spread among the rank and file of ordinary citizens.

My comments are not intended to be empty statements of an old soldier, they are intended to draw a finla line in the sand.

God help us as the inevitible come to fruition.

Now you admit that JUST MAYBE the Conspiracy Theorists were not crazy. Better to come late to the party than not at all….saddle up.
