“W” from my perspective.

Fair warning; this blog is going to piss a lot of you off.

In retrospect “W” was a horrible President.  If not for Obama Bush may have dethroned Carter as the worst President ever.  I’m not kidding, he was horrible. Hear me out.

In 8 years “W” increased the National average spending by 200%. From under $40B a year to over $120B. That by definition makes him a poor fiscal President. The last statement was in comparison to Clinton, IF I compared to Reagan your face would melt.

“W” was responsible for the no-bureaucrat-left-behind education bill, two corrupt farm bills, a new prescription drug entitlement, two pork-filled transportation bills, an auto company bailout, and a TARP bailout for banks. In signing McCain-Feingold, ‘W” betrayed his oath of office – which requires that he uphold and defend the Constitution. The Patriot Act alone should have had him tried for Treason against the Constitution.

W claimed “I’ve abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system.” to justify his spending.  How do you work completely against something you are trying to protect? That statement is idiotic and offensive.  I’m not even going to get started on his “immigration” policies other to say how long did it take for him to come to the defense of the 2 Border Patrol agents?

The biggest single economic error Bush made was his “weak dollar” policy. While the president has no direct control over monetary policy, it is said that a president always gets the monetary policy he wants. “W” (and his Treasury Secretaries) wanted a weak dollar, and they got one. The dollar lost 69% of its value against gold during the ”W” years. This accounted for almost 80% of the decline in the Real Dow during his presidency. The unstable dollar during the Bush years was the root cause of the financial crisis of 2008. The dollar fell almost continuously during the first seven years of his term. By February 2008, it had lost 72% of its value.

In 1999, the journalist Tucker Carlson interviewed Bush in Austin and asked him if he was a small-government conservative. “W” replied no; he said he was an “efficient-government conservative.” Bush’s campaign rarely called for spending cuts of any kind and even opposed eliminating the Department of Energy, whose abolition had been in every GOP platform since 1980.

I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to post it how I see it. Conservatives demand Fiscal Conservation not Fiscal Progressives. “W” lied to the American people about who he was and what he would do. The fact that he could have made some great moves and took the Country back into the RIGHT direction is the travesty. “W” failed to live up to an ounce of promise; and that my readers is what makes him a horrible President.

  1. I have to wonder if Jeb is going to be the next GOP nominee. The Republicans seem desperate and a lot of people are talking about him. Dann don’t hold back by any means. Tell it like you see it. We may lean a little right but people will see us as lock-steppers if we don’t hammer those who deserve to be hammered. I happen to agree with you, but I would trade him for Obama any day. LOL I personally haven’t felt very secure in the POTUS since Reagan. I know Reagan had problems but it felt like we had leadership and vision then. Lately it seems like all we have is rhetoric.

“W” was a horrible President and your factual. Before you prop up Clinton or Obama though…. Clinton had a REPUBLICAN Congress. It was a GOOD Congress.

Obama… Ohh where do I begin. Any cuts that have been made to spending were pennies. If you took 10,000 pennies and spread them out to represent the budget. Then picked up one penny and cut a 1/32 sliver out of it. That represents the Obama budget cuts. Spending has increased however. No liberal seems to mention that or how fiscally irresponsible Obama has been as well. “But he inherited the mess” Yes, yes he did. That does not provide an adequate excuse for him to perpetuate the damage left by Bush. If YOU spent more than you made and couldnt pay your bills where would you end up? First your going to borrow money, second your eventually going to end up on your ass on the curb.

    I enjoyed that Dann, thanks!
